At Penn State, “St1x C1ty” is a tradition where the most dominant linebackers don number 11, evoking the spirit and ferocity for the game as its founder, LaVar Arrington.  Abdul Carter is the latest Nittany Lion to wear the "sticks,” following in the footsteps of NaVarro Bowman, Brandon Bell and Micah Parsons. Carter’s journey to State College began as a standout linebacker in 2022 and by his sophomore season evolved to the defensive line.  This year, he brought St1x C1ty into new territory as defensive end earning Big 10 Defensive Player of the Year and Defensive lineman of the year honors.
